The last big California adventure, before we left, was for Rob and Nina. Cake, one of our favorite bands, played a concert on a (fake) steam boat in the (real) San Francisco Bay. It was a tiny venue so it was all intimate and awesome. Rob loved it. Nina got bored, but came home humming those songs. For all that know Cake, imagine a six year old walking around the house singing, “you’ll receive the federal funding, you can add another wing…” and try not to smile.
