A Pretty-Standard Day, really.
Today wasn’t a great day. It had a few perks though. After spending most of the morning doing nothing I got my girls ready by noon. Lazy, I know. I took Ramona to school (which has been a rare occurrence lately, as she’s not been well) while she yelled with glee. Then Nina and I went to a “fast-food-play-land” type establishment (I will not repeat the name as I found...

Psychosomatic
Mom lives with us and had knee surgery in November. Ramona has had seizures for most of her life. Today dear Nina announced to everyone, “I’m having a seizure in my knee!!”

Family time (by Rob)
Family time is the lamest name ever for the coolest time of the day. It should be called giggle-fest 2009 or Gigglepalooza or something rad like that. Acually, come to think of it, neither of those names are rad. Unfortunately, it’s late and I can’t think of anything better.

Ok, well first of all I am thinking you should invest in voice lessons....
– Comment from a friend about the Jingle What? video.
This is what happens when Nina gets ahold of the video camera and no one is around. It’s a little long and nauseating but worth it.
Nina just introduced me to the lube guy, “Hi, this is my friend, Mommy.”

For the first time ever we had family photos taken, professionally. Here are some of the results as well as a link to the photographers website. She’s very talented, you should check it out. (disclaimer: she is my sister, but that doesn’t diminish her talent!)
Helping Pete Feel Better
Pete: I need to cheer the freak up.
Pete: I haven't had things to look forward to.
Pete: winter is kind of a drag
Rob: dude, you need to stop being a woman
Pete: that helps. thanks a lot.
Shovel for Heroes
Today while Nina and I were shoveling snow so that Mony could get off the bus and into the house, Nina came to me. “Where is your shovel Nina?” “I don’t know.” she said, “I want YOUR shovel, IT is a shovel for heroes. See,” she said, pointing at the label on my shovel, “it says, ‘shovel for heroes.’”
Blogging, sort of.
So Rob reeeeally wants me to blog. Says the things the kids are saying and doing need to be recorded. I said, “I can’t even get the laundry done why would I blog.” But, he is so insistent and technologically saavy that he hooked up a way for me to do this from my phone. So, I relent. I blog therefore I am.
